Air cargo offers you the fastest services possible, but keep in mind that special services have a special price.

The determining cost of airfreight chargeable weight or measure of the cargo whichever is greater. All air carriers calculate the chargeable weight International AND use the Air Transport Association (IATA) volumetric standards.

Chargeable weight - Is the he actual weight or the dimensional weight, whichever is greater.

Dimensional weight, also called 'dim' weight, is used because the space a package takes on an aircraft may cost more than the package's actual weight. You should calculate dimensional weight on every shipment, compare that to its actual weight; the greater of the two will determine your shipping cost.

A dimensional weight is calculated using the formulas below:

For International Shipments:

L x W x H (cubic inches) / (divided by) 166 = Dimensional Weight.
Example: 30' x 24' x 22' = 15,840 / 166 = 95 lbs. (round down to the nearest pound)
